An Experimental High‐Throughput Approach for the Screening of Hard Magnet Materials
An entire workflow for the high‐throughput characterization and analysis of compositionally graded magnetic films is presented. Characterization protocols, data management tools and data analysis approaches are illustrated with test case Sm(Fe, V)12 based films.

Revealing the Bifurcations of the Milky Way Spiral Arms Based on Hi-GAL and ATLASGAL Clumps
The spiral structure of the Milky Way remains under debate. Y. Xu et al. proposed, for the first time, a multiple-arm morphology for our Galaxy, with two spiral arms in the inner disk bifurcating outward alongside additional independent arms in the outer

2a Results: galaxy to cloud scales
Simulations from the scales of isolated galaxies to clouds have been instrumental in informing us about molecular cloud formation and evolution. Simulations are able to investigate the roles of gravity, feedback, turbulence, heating and cooling, and ...

Multiplex Modular Nanorobotic Systems with Catalytic Activity under Magnetic Navigation
We present modular nanorobots composed of a magnetic propulsion module and different extension modules carrying functional activities, assembled via DNA base pairing. The system integrates propulsion, optical tracking, enzymatic catalysis, and cell docking in a programmable manner.

Can the Dynamo of Spiral-arm Galaxies Be Explained by Anisotropic Conductivity?
The possibility of generating a magnetic field by a dynamo effect with anisotropic electrical conductivity rather than turbulent flow has been demonstrated theoretically and experimentally.

Examination of the Functional Form of the Light and Mass Distribution in Spiral Arms
Spiral arms are a common feature of local galaxies, but the exact form of the distribution of mass and light in them is not well known. In this work, we aim to measure this distribution as accurately as possible, focusing on individual spiral arms and ...

An intrinsic photoactive star‐shaped zinc phtalocyanine‐poly(L‐glutamic acid) (ZnPc‐PGA) nanoplatform for multimodal glioblastoma (GBM) therapy and brain‐targeted elivery. A ZnPc‐PGA‐based multifunctional theranostic nanocarrier platform enables image‐guided, multimodal GBM therapy. ZnPc‐PGA nanocarriers support the integration of fluorescence imaging,

Exciting spiral arms in protoplanetary discs from flybys
Spiral arms are observed in numerous protoplanetary discs. These spiral arms can be excited by companions, either on bound or unbound orbits. We simulate a scenario where an unbound perturber, i.e. a flyby, excites spiral arms during a periastron passage.

Stellar spiral arms in smooth-armed galaxies
Deep multicolor surface photometry has been obtained for three extreme examples of smooth-armed spirals, galaxies with a global spiral pattern but with little or no interstellar gas, dust, or recent star formation: NGC 7743, NGC 495 and NGC 718. The results suggest that smooth-armed spirals may be transient bar-driven density waves (with a lifetime of ...

A guided map to the spiral arms in the galactic disk of the Milky Way [PDF]
An up-to-date overview of the recent history is given, aiming is to present a helpful working guide to the literature and at the same time introduce key systems and observational results, starting from the Sun and going toward the Galactic Center and ...
