Age-dependent effects of Spirulina platensis on hepatic protein carbonylation in Wistar rats
Background: Oxidative stress tends to rise as age increases, with the liver being notably affected. Changes in liver function are closely linked to oxidative stress, which targets hepatocytic proteins.

Microbial Hydrolysates as Amino Acid Source in Cell Culture Media for Cellular Agriculture
ABSTRACT The high cost of cultivation media remains one of the barriers to the commercialization of cultivated meat. Current serum‐free media reduce reliance on fetal bovine serum but only achieve modest cost savings. Especially at larger scales (> 20 m3), pharmaceutical‐grade amino acids and recombinant proteins remain major cost drivers.

Real‐time IoT monitoring resolved opposite behaviors in a hybrid capture prototype: the Wolffia globosa stage released CO2 over each 24‐h cycle, while waste‐seashell‐derived CaO removed ∼2.6 g CO2 in 20 days—only 5.5% of stoichiometric capacity, evidencing local capture rather than net carbon removal.
