Randall's plaques (RP) serve as the nidus for calcium oxalate (CaOx) kidney stones. The current study reveals that hydroxyapatite (HAP) crystals activate the THY1–GSK3α/β–β‐catenin axis in renal interstitial fibroblasts (hRIFs), inducing FASLG secretion.

Experimental study and mechanism analysis of spontaneous imbibition of surfactants in tight oil sandstone [PDF]
The process of spontaneous imbibition is the basis of oil recovery from tight oil reservoirs. In this study, spontaneous imbibition experiments were conducted based on tight oil weakly hydrophilic sandstone cores from the Honghe oilfield in the Ordos ...

Pore-scale Processes in Amott Spontaneous Imbibition Tests [PDF]
We observed the redistribution of the oil phase in the pore space of the rock in real-time in water-wet and mixed-wet (by ageing in crude oil) carbonate samples. During the imbibition of the water phase both, pore filling events with connection to the surrounding brine as well as snap-off events connected through water films only were detected.

ABSTRACT The E3 ubiquitin ligase tripartite motif 27 (TRIM27) is a negative regulator of NF‐κB activation and the innate immune response, and TRIM27 deficiency significantly impairs dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)‐induced colitis. The function of TRIM27 in intestinal epithelial cells (IECs), the mechanism by which TRIM27 inhibits the NF‐κB pathway and its

Spontaneous imbibition in shale: A review of recent advances [PDF]
Spontaneous imbibition in shale is commonly observed during and after hydraulic fracturing. This mechanism greatly influences hydrocarbon recovery in shale plays, therefore attracting increasing attention from researchers.

Fractal model equation for spontaneous imbibition
A new analytic model of fractal imbibition in porous media is derived. The topological Hausdorff dimension is used as a fractal parameter inthe proposed model. The fractal formulation is based on the model introduced by Li and Zhao to predict the production rate by spontaneousimbibition.

Integrating experimental insights with molecular dynamics simulations, we establish an advanced mathematical model for fluids confined in sub‐10‐nm channels, enabling quantitative prediction of interfacial layer thickness and viscosity by accounting for channel material, temperature, and fluid properties.

Mechanism of imbibition and production enhancement of nanoemulsion in tight sandstone oil reservoirs
Nanoemulsion, as a kind of nanoscale colloidal dispersion system, has been widely applied in unconventional oil reservoir development due to its outstanding interfacial properties and enhanced oil recovery effects.
