ABSTRACT In February 2025, a mortality event of unknown aetiology occurred at a hybrid grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus × Epinephelus lanceolatus) aquaculture farm in southern Taiwan, with sporadic daily deaths persisting for a month. TDP‐43 function relies on a delicate balance between reversible phase‐separated states and irreversible aggregation. Under physiological conditions, TDP‐43 forms dynamic droplets and oligomers that support normal cellular functions.
