Impact of Oxygen Vacancies in LiCoO2 on the Electrochemical Performance of Garnet‐Based All‐Solid‐State Li‐Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Slight oxygen vacancy formation in LiCoO2 increases its electron charge carrier and Co2+/Co3+ mixed valence states to enhance its total conductivity, thereby increasing the performance of an All‐solid‐state Li battery based on LiCoO2 as the cathode and garnet‐structured LLZO as the solid electrolyte.

Flexible Mechanical Response Device With Optical Logic Emission Enabled by Synergistic Crystallization Engineering of Ester Polymer and Perovskite

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a flexible mechanical response device (FMRD) with optical logic properties, developed via synergistic crystallization engineering of ester‐based polymers and perovskite. Ion‐dipole interactions and crystallized space confinement tune perovskite crystal dimensions, enhancing exciton transfer and emission.

Bio‐Inspired Stored Magnetic Energy Actuator with Transient Triggering and Programmable Logic

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A bio‐inspired magnetic energy actuator achieves 1.6 m/s transient release—three orders faster than conventional systems—via direct ink writing printed NdFeB/Polydimethylsiloxane composites and environmental locks; biomimetic AND‐gate logic enables sequential cue recognition (e.g., “temperature → rainfall”).

Non‐Random Distribution of EMS‐Induced Mutations Reveals Preference for Open Chromatin and Expressed Genes in Rice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mutagenesis is an effective method for generating genetic resources with a long history in breeding; however, the randomness of chemical‐induced mutations has not been systematically investigated. In this study, over 7 million SNPms are identified in an EMS‐induced population, revealing that these mutations are non‐randomly distributed and ...
