A giant insulator to metal transition and emergent superparamagnetism are revealed by nanoparticle exsolution in non‐stoichiometric titanate perovskite thin films. By combining transport, synchrotron spectroscopy, and first‐principles calculations, this work reveals how defect reconfiguration and lattice reconstruction fundamentally reshape electronic ...

Valence band offset of wurtzite InN/SrTiO3 heterojunction measured by x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy [PDF]
The valence band offset(VBO) of wurtzite indium nitride/strontium titanate(InN/SrTiO3) heterojunction has been directly measured by x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The VBO is determined to be1.26±0.23 eV and the conduction band offset is deduced to be1.

Hopping Transport in SrTiO3/Nd1-xTiO3/SrTiO3 Heterostructures
Electronic transport near the insulator-metal transition is investigated in the molecular beam epitaxy-grown SrTiO3/Nd1-xTiO3/SrTiO3 heterostructures using temperature dependent magnetotransport measurements. It was found that Nd-vacancies introduce localized electronic states resulting in the variable range hopping transport at low temperatures.

Thickness dependence of magnetic behavior of LaAlO3/SrTiO3 heterostructures
Thickness dependence of magnetic properties of LaAlO3 (LAO)/SrTiO3 (STO) heterostructures is systematically studied. It is found that the magnetic moment is rather robust at elevated temperatures in the samples grown under ultralow P-O2 of 1 x 10(-8 ...

Synthesis of Silver-Strontium Titanate Hybrid Nanoparticles by Sol-Gel-Hydrothermal Method
Silver (Ag) nanoparticle-loaded strontium titanate (SrTiO3) nanoparticles were attempted to be synthesized by a sol-gel-hydrothermal method. We prepared the titanium oxide precursor gels incorporated with Ag+ and Sr2+ ions with various molar ratios, and ...
