Development and Evaluation of Egg-Free Mayonnaise Stabilized with Aquafaba and Gum Tragacanth: Functional, Sensory, and Storage Properties

open access: yesMolecules
This study developed and evaluated plant-based mayonnaise formulations in which egg yolk was replaced with aquafaba (15–25%) and stabilized with gum tragacanth (0.3–1.0%).

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Optimized Design of LCL Filter for Grid Tied Inverters With Deployment of Large-Scale Grid Connected PV System for Harmonics Compensation and Stable Operation Under Sudden Changes in Weather Conditions

open access: yesIEEE Access
With the growing concerns about climate change and energy security, solar energy has been recognised as a green and reliable source of electrical energy. However, considering the variations of solar irradiance, particularly in Grid Connected Photovoltaic

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Optimal control and stability analysis of monkeypox transmission dynamics with the impact of contaminated surfaces

open access: yesFrontiers in Applied Mathematics and Statistics
This study presents a comprehensive analysis of the transmission dynamics of monkeypox, considering contaminated surfaces using a deterministic mathematical model. The study begins by calculating the basic reproduction number and the stability properties

Genetic Stability Analysis of Rb Gene in Genetically Modified Potato Lines Tolerant to Phytophthora Infestans [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Development of potato cultivars with high levels of broad spectrum resistance is a key long-term management strategy against late blight disease caused by Phytophthora infestans. Six progeny lines of hybridization between transgenic potato Katahdin SP951

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...
