On stabilization of partial differential equations by noise [PDF]
Some results on stabilization of (deterministic and stochastic) partial differential equations are established. In particular, some stability criteria from Chow [4] and Haussmann [6] are improved and subsequently applied to certain situations, on which the original criteria commonly do not work, to ensure almost sure exponential stability.

Noise and stability in reaction-diffusion equations
<p style='text-indent:20px;'>We study the stability of reaction-diffusion equations in presence of noise. The relationship of stability of solutions between the stochastic ordinary different equations and the corresponding stochastic reaction-diffusion equation is firstly established.

This paper investigates the stability problem of the feedback active noise control (ANC) system, which can be caused by the modeling error of the electro-acoustic path estimation in its feedback mechanism.

Reduction of Flicker Phase Noise in High-Speed Photodetectors Under Ultrashort Pulse Illumination
High-fidelity photodetection enables the transfer of the low noise inherent to optical oscillators to the microwave domain. However, when photodetecting optical signals of the highest timing stability, photodiode flicker (1/f) noise can dominate ...

Noise-induced stabilization of collective dynamics [PDF]
We illustrate a counter-intuitive effect of an additive stochastic force, which acts independently on each element of an ensemble of globally coupled oscillators. We show numerically and semi-analytically that a very small white noise is able to stabilize an otherwise linearly unstable collective periodic regime.

Jet noise from instability mode interactions [PDF]
A nonlinear interaction model is used to study sources of sound in jets. The model uses quadratic interactions of instability modes, which are obtained by solving the linear parabolized stability equations.

Study on Stability of Gas Pressure Regulator with a Built-In Silencer
Gas pressure regulators are widely used in gas transportation and distribution systems. They are designed for deep pressure reduction and maintainance with high accuracy over a wide flow range.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.
