Stability Constants of Methylmercuric Carboxylates.

open access: yes, 1974
Department of Chemistry, Utkal University, Bhubaneswar-4 Manuscript received 17 October 1973; revised 8 April 1974; accepted 24 April 1974 Complex formation between CH8Hg+ ion and carboxylate ligands has been studied potentlometrically. The thermodynamic dissociation constants of methylmercuric acetate, n-butyrate, phenylacetate, and lactate are found

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Synthesis of an Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid-like Ligand Based on Sucrose Scaffold and Complexation and Proton Relaxivity Studies of Its Gadolinium(III) Complex in Solution

open access: yesMolecules
Sucrose constitutes a non-toxic, biodegradable, low-cost and readily available natural product. To expand its utility, we developed total synthesis for a ligand based on a sucrose scaffold for potential use as a metal chelation agent. The designed target

Effect of Mg and Ca on the Stability of the MRI Contrast Agent Gd–DTPA in Seawater

open access: yesFrontiers in Marine Science, 2018
Gadolinium diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (Gd–DTPA) is widely applied as a contrast enhancer in medical MRI. As Gd–DTPA is only minimally captured in wastewater treatment plants (WTPs) or degraded by UV light and other oxidative processes ...

Analytical method for determining the stability of linear retarded systems with two delays [PDF]

open access: yes
The stability is considered of the solution differential-difference equations of the retarded type with constant coefficients and two constant time delays.

Glycosylated LGALS3BP is highly secreted by bladder cancer cells and represents a novel urinary disease biomarker

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Urinary LGALS3BP is elevated in bladder cancer patients compared to healthy controls as detected by the 1959 antibody–based ELISA. The antibody shows enhanced reactivity to the high‐mannose glycosylated variant secreted by cancer cells treated with kifunensine (KIF).

Survivin and Aurora Kinase A control cell fate decisions during mitosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aurora A interacts with survivin during mitosis and regulates its centromeric role. Loss of Aurora A activity mislocalises survivin, the CPC and BubR1, leading to disruption of the spindle checkpoint and triggering premature mitotic exit, which we refer to as ‘mitotic slippage’.

Density controls the kinetic stability of ultrastable glasses

open access: yes, 2017
We use a swap Monte Carlo algorithm to numerically prepare bulk glasses with kinetic stability comparable to that of glass films produced experimentally by physical vapor deposition.

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.
