Evaluation of Knee Stability and Stabilizing Systems
Radiology, 1967Knee injuries are a major problem in competitive contact sports. During the past two years, the Radiology Department and the Sports Medicine Section of Orthopedic Surgery have been evaluating knee stability before and after knee surgery. For this purpose, tape recording of television fluoroscopy has been used.

Evaluating evaluation measure stability
Proceedings of the 23rd annual international ACM SIGIR conference on Research and development in information retrieval, 2000This paper presents a novel way of examining the accuracy of the evaluation measures commonly used in information retrieval experiments. It validates several of the rules-of-thumb experimenters use, such as the number of queries needed for a good experiment is at least 25 and 50 is better, while challenging other beliefs, such as the common evaluation ...

Proceedings of the eighteenth international conference on Architectural support for programming languages and operating systems, 2013
Researchers and software developers require effective performance evaluation. Researchers must evaluate optimizations or measure overhead. Software developers use automatic performance regression tests to discover when changes improve or degrade performance. The standard methodology is to compare execution times before and after applying changes.

Thoracolumbar burst fracture: Evaluating stability
Seminars in Ultrasound, CT and MRI, 1996The burst fracture is an injury characterized by anterior vertebral body height loss and retropulsion of the posterior aspect of the vertebral body into the spinal canal. The vertebral body injury frequently is associated with fractures through the neural arch.

Standardized evaluation of protein stability
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Proteins and Proteomics, 2010We compare mean force potential values of a large series of PDB models of proteins and peptides and find that, either as monomers or polymers, proteins longer than 200-250 residues have equivalent MFP values that are averaged to -65+/-3 kcal/aa. This value is named the standard or stability value. The standard value is reached irrespective of sequences

This chapter discusses the evaluation of stability data. It follows the \hbox{stability} study information from the point that raw data is generated in the lab, calculations are performed to give test results, and test results are entered in the stability summary sheets, until data is finally entered into a stability report for submission purposes ...

Evaluating epitaxial growth stability
Materials Science and Engineering: B, 1997Abstract We have investigated variations of epitaxial layer thicknesses from uniform periodicity in compound semiconductor Bragg-reflectors experimentally and theoretically. Specifically, we characterized the variation of individual layer thicknesses in the growth direction at a given point on the wafer, thereby assessing the growth stability in ...

Evaluation of walking stability
2010 IEEE 23rd International Symposium on Computer-Based Medical Systems (CBMS), 2010We assessed walking stability, using a portable acceleration measurement system. We measured the acceleration displacement at the center of gravity (COG) of a normal walking subject and evaluated walking stability. We noted the dispersion of high and low acceleration at the COG that is a factor of walking stability.
