Vehicle stability control algorithm based on optimal fuzzy theory

Proceedings of 2011 International Conference on Electronic & Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology, 2011
As a new active safety technology, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) system can maintain the vehicle stability by dominating the yaw moment effectively under extreme driving conditions. This paper presents a novel VSC strategy devoted to prevent vehicles from spinning and drifting out, which is based on the Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) and the fuzzy ...

Unifying behavior-based control design and hybrid stability theory

2009 American Control Conference, 2009
This article describes the design and simulation implementation of a behavior-based control system. The controllers are designed using a command filtered, vector backstepping (CFBS) approach. We use the results from hybrid system control where multiple Lyapunov functions are used in order to prove overall controller stability.

Synthesis of helicopter stabilization systems using modal control theory

Astrodynamics Conference, 1970
This paper presents procedures for designing controllers for complex dynamical systems using single- and multiinput modal control theory. It is shown that the design of the appropriate modal controller for a given system is greatly facilitated by the inspection of mode-controllability indices which constitute the mode-controllability matrix of the ...

Generalized Stabilizing Control Laws Design Using Lyapunov Stability Theory

Active and Passive Control of Mechanical Vibration, 1994
Abstract A new control law design approach based upon Lyapunov stability theory is discussed. The proposed approach takes control inputs into account in the Lyapunov function. The control law turns out to be phase-lead or lag compensators which are different from conventional Proportional plus Derivative (PD) control laws. The type of

Lyapunov Stability Theory Based Control of Uncertain Dynamical Systems

1994
Summary: We present a controller design methodology for uncertain systems which is based on the constructive use of Lyapunov stability theory. The uncertainties, which are deterministic, are characterized by certain structural conditions and known as well as unknown bounds. As a consequence of the Lyapunov approach, the methodology is not restricted to
