Crucial parameters for precise copy number variation detection in formalin‐fixed paraffin‐embedded solid cancer samples

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that copy number variations (CNVs) can be reliably detected in formalin‐fixed paraffin‐embedded (FFPE) solid cancer samples using ultra‐low‐pass whole‐genome sequencing, provided that key (pre)‐analytical parameters are optimized.

Existence and stability of solution for a coupled system of Caputo–Hadamard fractional differential equations

open access: yesFixed Point Theory and Algorithms for Sciences and Engineering
In our present work, we study a coupled system of Caputo–Hadamard fractional differential equations supplemented with a novel set of initial value conditions involving the η = ( t d d t ) $\eta =(t\frac{d}{dt})$ derivatives.

Stable multilevel splittings of boundary edge element spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We establish the stability of nodal multilevel decompositions of lowest-order conforming boundary element subspaces of the trace space ${\boldsymbol{H}}^{-\frac {1}{2}}(\operatorname {div}_{\varGamma },{\varGamma })$ of ${\boldsymbol{H}}(\operatorname ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Study of self-oscillations of a distributed rotor from a material with hereditarily elastic properties

open access: yesPartial Differential Equations in Applied Mathematics
Self-oscillatory solutions of dynamic equations of transverse vibrations of a distributed rotating ideally balanced rotor (shaft) on an isotropic support made of a material with nonlinear hereditary properties are studied.

Physical modeling and geometric shape simulation for one-dimensional flexible objects with cylindrical surface constraints

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
This study develops forces equilibrium differential equations for the geometric modeling of 1D flexible objects with surface constraints. These second-order equations are an extension of the Cosserat elastic rod theory and include both bending and ...

Stable interactions via proper deformations

open access: yes, 2016
A new method is proposed for switching on interactions that are compatible with global symmetries and conservation laws of the original free theory. The method is applied to the control of stability in Lagrangian and non-Lagrangian theories with higher ...

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

On Coupled p-Laplacian Fractional Differential Equations with Nonlinear Boundary Conditions

open access: yesComplexity, 2017
This paper is related to the existence and uniqueness of solutions to a coupled system of fractional differential equations (FDEs) with nonlinear p-Laplacian operator by using fractional integral boundary conditions with nonlinear term and also to ...

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.
