On the reduction principle for differential equations with piecewise constant argument of generalized type

open access: yes, 2006
In this paper we introduce a new type of differential equations with piecewise constant argument (EPCAG), more general than EPCA. The Reduction Principle is proved for EPCAG. The structure of the set of solutions is specified.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Finite Difference Method for Solving Partial Integro-Differential Equations

open access: yesپژوهش‌های ریاضی, 2020
Introduction In this paper, we have introduced a new method for solving a class of the partial integro-differential equation with the singular kernel by using the finite difference method.

Elastoplastic stability of thin rectangular plates under complex and impure loading

open access: yesVietnam Journal of Mechanics, 2001
This paper deals with investigation of the elastoplastic stability of thin rectangular plates. The plate considered herein is subjected to the biaxial compressive forces which are assumed to be linearly distributed along every its edge.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

APPLICATION OF THE CONTINUOUS OPERATOR METHOD TO THE SOLUTION OF THE POCKLINGTON AND GALLEN EQUATIONS FOR THIN WIRE ANTENNAS

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений. Поволжский регион: Физико-математические науки, 2020
Background. One of the central tasks in microwave electronics is the construction of miniature antennas with high performance. The main equations used in modeling wire antennas of various configurations are the Pocklington, Gallen equations, singular ...

PARP inhibitors induce a senescence phenotype in non‐small cell lung carcinoma cell lines

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Talazoparib is the most potent inducer of senescence among different PARP1 inhibitors in human NSCLC cells. In the absence of PARP, no senescence phenotype was observed, demonstrating that PARP1 is necessary for the induction of senescence by this inhibitor.

Chameleon sequences reveal structural effects in proteins representing micelle‐like distribution of hydrophobicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

Dynamical systems theory for nonlinear evolution equations

open access: yes, 2010
We observe that the fully nonlinear evolution equations of Rosenau and Hymann, often abbreviated as $K(n,\,m)$ equations, can be reduced to Hamiltonian form only on a zero-energy hypersurface belonging to some potential function associated with the ...
