Stability scores: measuring coalitional stability

open access: yesInternational Joint Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems, 2012
We introduce a measure for the level of stability against coalitional deviations, called stability scores, which generalizes widely used notions of stability in non-cooperative games. We use the proposed measure to compare various Nash equilibria in congestion games, and to quantify the effect of game parameters on coalitional stability.

DEVELOPMENT OF A METHOD FOR THE SYNTHESIS OF PLASMONIC GOLD NANOPARTICLES FOR A WIDE SPECTRAL REGION 520-720 nm

open access: yesТонкие химические технологии, 2017
A method of the synthesis of plasmon gold nanoparticles by the reduction of HAuCl4 with organic reductants, such as formalin, sodium citrate and hydroquinone has been studied.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Meloxicam Nanocrystals with HPMC and Decyl Glucoside for Enhanced Solubility

open access: yesJurnal Ilmiah Medicamento
Background: Low solubility in water is a major obstacle for Meloxicam (MLX) and has implications for its limited bioavailability. Nanocrystallization techniques show potential for improving drug solubility, but nanoparticles tend to aggregate ...

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Stabilization of γ-sterilized biomedical polyolefins by synergistic mixtures of oligomeric stabilizers

open access: yes, 2006
The stabilization of polyolefins against γ-sterilization has been studied with single or binary additive system. The present attempt is to utilize synergistic mixtures of stabilizers which are approved for food contact applications.

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

The size and effectiveness of automatic fiscal stabilizers in Latin America [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper measures the size of automatic fiscal revenue stabilizers and evaluates their role in Latin America. It introduces a relatively rich tax structure into a dynamic, stochastic, multi-sector small open economy inhabited by rule-of-thumb consumers
