Bond‐Competition‐Driven Enhancement of Surface Basicity and Interfacial Interaction to Boost Photocatalytic Syngas Production

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A synergetic surface bond competition−hybridization approach was developed to synthesize high‐performance CO2 adsorbents and syngas production photocatalysts via the sulfurization‐driven control of surface basicity and interfacial coupling. The ZnIn2S4−sulfur‐doped MgO/MgAl2O4 nanocomposites showed outstanding photocatalytic efficiency for production ...

Stretchable Energy Storage with Eutectic Gallium Indium Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 11, March 18, 2025.
A highly stretchable liquid metal‐based electrode is developed via a one‐step process, retaining conductivity and capacitance after mechanical deformation up to 900% strain. The stretchable all‐solid‐state device provides a areal energy density of 43 µWh cm⁻2 after 150% strain.

Stable Isotope Probing Techniques and Methodological Considerations Using 15N

open access: yes, 2019
Nitrogen fixation and assimilation processes are vital to the functioning of any ecosystem. Nevertheless, studying these processes using 15 N-based stable isotope probing was so far limited because of technical challenges related to the relative rarity of nitrogen in nucleic acids and proteins ...
