Subjective Homophily and the Fixtures Problem

open access: yesGames, 2020
The Stable Fixtures problem (Irving and Scott (2007)) is a generalized matching model that nests the well-known Stable Roommates, Stable Marriage, and College Admissions problems as special cases.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Stable-matching Voronoi diagrams: Combinatorial complexity and algorithms

open access: yesJournal of Computational Geometry, 2020
We study algorithms and combinatorial complexity bounds for stable-matching Voronoi diagrams, where a set, $S$, of $n$ point sites in the plane determines a stable matching between the points in  $\mathbb{R}^2$ and the sites in $S$ such that  (i) the ...

Stable Matching with Interviews

open access: yesCoRR
In several two-sided markets, including labor and dating, agents typically have limited information about their preferences prior to mutual interactions. This issue can result in matching frictions, as arising in the labor market for medical residencies, where high application rates are followed by a large number of interviews.

`Sex-Equal' Stable Matchings [PDF]

open access: yesTheory and Decision, 2001
This paper presents a solution concept that minimizes envy between groups 111 a bilateral matching market. This concept is designed to select stable matchings that are not men or women optimal. The idea is to compute the total number of women preferred by the men to their woman mates and the total number of men preferred by women to their mates in that

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Persuading Stable Matching

open access: yesCoRR
In bipartite matching problems, agents on two sides of a graph want to be paired according to their preferences. The stability of a matching depends on these preferences, which in uncertain environments also reflect agents' beliefs about the underlying state of the world. We investigate how a principal -- who observes the true state of the world -- can

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.
