Topological dynamics in spike-timing dependent plastic model neural networks
Spike-timing dependent plasticity (STDP) is a biologically constrained unsupervised form of learning that potentiates or depresses synaptic connections based on the precise timing of pre-synaptic and post-synaptic firings. The effects of on-going STDP on

This paper proposes a novel parameter tuning method topology for inductive power transfer (IPT) system with excellent load-independent current output. Based on LCC-S compensation topology, detailed derivations of parameters to realize load-independent ...

A functional limit theorem for dependent sequences with infinite variance stable limits
Under an appropriate regular variation condition, the affinely normalized partial sums of a sequence of independent and identically distributed random variables converges weakly to a non-Gaussian stable random variable.

It is shown that laser ablation pretreatment under oxygen‐free conditions enables copper–aluminium bonding at significantly lower deformation degrees and improved properties compared to mechanical brushing. Laser ablation further increases interface contact area and induces favourable residual stress states and microstructural compatibility ...

Towards Classification of Phase Transitions in Reaction--Diffusion Models
Equilibrium phase transitions are associated with rearrangements of minima of a (Lagrangian) potential. Treatment of non-equilibrium systems requires doubling of degrees of freedom, which may be often interpreted as a transition from the ``coordinate ...

Topological stable rank of $$\mathcal {E}'(\mathbb {R})$$ [PDF]
AbstractThe set $$\mathcal {E}'(\mathbb {R})$$ E ′ ( R ) of all compactly supported distributions, with the operations of addition, convolution, multiplication by complex scalars, and with the strong dual topology is a topological algebra. In this article, it is shown that the topological stable rank of $$\mathcal {E}'(\mathbb {R})$$ E ′

Stabilization of L‐PBF Ni50.7Ti49.3 under low‐cycle loading was investigated. Recoverable strain after cycling was dependent on the amount of applied load. Recovery ratio was 53.4% and 35.1% at intermediate and high load, respectively. The maximum total strain reached 10.3% at a high load of 1200 MPa.

Geometric transformation and three-dimensional hopping of Hopf solitons
Hopf solitons are three-dimensional particle-like field distortions with nontrivial topology. Tai et al. show stable Hopf solitons in a liquid crystal material in the absence of an electric field or geometric confinement, their transformation and hopping-

Topological properties of asymptotically stable sets [PDF]
The object of the paper is the continuous time invariant semi-flow \(\varphi:R_{\geq 0}\times M\mapsto M\) on a locally compact compact topological space \(M\). First the following notions are reminded or introduced: asymptotic stability of a set and its attraction domain which is open and invariant, retract, deformation retract, weak deformation ...
