Constructing Asymmetric Sn‐Cu‐C Interface via Defective Carbon Trapped Atomic Clusters for Efficient Neutral Nitrate Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work constructs asymmetric Sn‐Cu‐C interface via anchoring SnCu atomic clusters on carbon defects. Such as‐synthesized SnCu‐DG catalyst achieves a high NH3 Faradaic efficiency (99.5%) and a record intrinsic activity of 2.61 × 10−17 mmol h−1 siteCu−1 at neutral electrolyte condition.

Mie‐Resonant Metasurfaces with Controlled Silicon Oxidation in Electron‐Beam Deposition

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Electron‐beam deposition is optimized to prevent silicon oxidation by controlling chamber pressure and deposition rate, yielding refractive index values comparable to other methods. This tunability enables precise control of optical properties. Mie‐resonant metasurfaces exhibit strong, tunable collective resonances, allowing the fabrication of silicon ...

Surface Properties of p‐GaN and Formation of Nickel Metal Contacts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The amount of C, O, and Mg–O bonds on the surface of p‐GaN can be reduced while still maintaining the surface morphology by potassium hydroxide (KOH) wet chemical treatment. Heating this surface with Ni on top in ultra‐high vacuum (UHV) results in a crystalline Ga‐Ni alloy and diffusion of Ga, which creates vacancies close to valence band leading to ...

Reconfigurable Soft Actuators Constructed via Layer‐by‐layer Assembly

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Stimulated by the energy inputs from heating or humidifying, structural reconfigurations took place in two different materials as manifested by the dynamic structures and mechanical performance, leading to the opportunities of self‐healing and welding. Based on the hierarchical assembly of these two materials with complementary properties, an actuator ...

Implantable Microarray Patch: Engineering at the Nano and Macro Scale for Sustained Therapeutic Release via Synthetic Biodegradable Polymers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 10, Issue 6, March 18, 2025.
This review focuses on the application of synthetic biodegradable microarray patches (MAPs) in sustained drug delivery. Compared to conventional MAPs which release drugs into the skin in an immediate manner, these implantable MAPs release drugs into skin microcirculation gradually as the biodegradable polymers degrade, thus offering sustained release ...
