Monitoring multinomial processes based on a weighted chi-square control chart
: Interpreting an out-of-control signal is a crucial step in monitoring categorical processes. For the Chi-Square Control Chart (CSCC), an out-of control situation does not specify if it was a process deterioration or a process improvement.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Age and length composition of Columbia Basin chinook, sockeye, and coho salmon at Bonneville Dam in 2002 [PDF]
In 2002, representative samples of migrating Columbia Basin chinook (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha), sockeye (O. nerka), and coho salmon (O. kisutch) adult populations were collected at Bonneville Dam.

Predicting glaucomatous visual field deterioration through short multivariate time series modelling [PDF]
In bio-medical domains there are many applications involving the modelling of multivariate time series (MTS) data. One area that has been largely overlooked so far is the particular type of time series where the data set consists of a large ...

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Effect of damping on the time variation of fields produced by a small pole tip with a soft under layer [PDF]
The time variation of magnetostatic fields generated by space and time varying magnetization configurations in small perpendicular pole tips is studied.

Plasma‐based detection of actionable mutations is a promising approach in lung cancer management. Analysis of ctDNA with a multigene NGS panel identified TP53, KRAS, and EGFR as the most frequently altered, with TP53 and KRAS in treatment‐naïve patients and TP53 and EGFR in previously treated patients.

Cooperation cannot be sustained in a discounted repeated prisoners' dilemma with patient short and long run players [PDF]
This study presents a modified version of the repeated discounted prisoners' dilemma with long and short-run players. In our setting a short-run player does not observe the history that has occurred before he was born, and survives into next phases of

Long-tail Behavior in Locomotion of Caenorhabditis elegans
The locomotion of Caenorhabditis elegans exhibits complex patterns. In particular, the worm combines mildly curved runs and sharp turns to steer its course. Both runs and sharp turns of various types are important components of taxis behavior.
