Lattice QCD and fundamental parameters of the Standard Model
Our present theory for the elemental particles in nature, the Standard Model, consists of 6 leptons and 6 quarks, plus the 4 bosons which mediate the electromagnetic, weak, and strong forces. The theory has several free parameters which must be constrained by experiment before it is entirely predictive.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

A new approach to quark mass determination using the gradient flow
We propose a new method to determine quark masses using ratios of the vacuum-expectation values (vevs) of flowed quark bilinear operators. They can be expressed as functions of the flow time t and the MS ¯ $$ \overline{\textrm{MS}} $$ quark mass m ...

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

FN-2HDM: Two Higgs Doublet Models with Froggatt-Nielsen symmetry
We embed Two Higgs Doublet Models (2HDMs) in the Froggatt Nielsen (FN) framework. We find that the approximate FN symmetry predicts i) approximate Natural Flavor Conservation (NFC) of Types II or IV in the Yukawa sector, and ii) approximate Peccei-Quinn (

Parameter counting in models with global symmetries
We present rules for determining the number of physical parameters in models with exact flavor symmetries. In such models the total number of parameters (physical and unphysical) needed to described a matrix is less than in a model without the symmetries.

Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Searching for hadronic scale baryonic and dark forces at (g − 2) μ ’s lattice-vs-dispersion front
The anomalous magnetic moment of the muon (a μ ) provides a stringent test of the quantum nature of the Standard Model (SM) and its extensions. To probe beyond the SM physics, one needs to be able to subtract the SM contributions, which consists of a non-

Pricing tranched credit products with generalized multifactor models [PDF]
The market for tranched credit products (CDOs, Itraxx tranches) is one of the fastest growing segments in the credit derivatives industry. However, some assumptions underlying the standard Gaussian onefactor pricing model (homogeneity, single factor ...
