Energy measurements and correlations of the standard penetration test (SPT) and the becker penetration test (BPT)

open access: yes, 1994
The Standard penetration test (SPT) and the Becker penetration test (BPT) are two of the most widely used in-situ tests in North America. The SPT is most commonly used in sands and silty sands, while the BPT, being a large-scale penetration test, is ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Comparison of standard penetration test and cone penetration test values for ground investigations

open access: yes, 2013

Subsurface Exploration using the Standard Penetration Test and the Cone Penetrometer Test

open access: yes, 2006
The Standard Penetration Test (SPT) and Cone Penetrometer Test (CPT) have become industry standards for subsurface geotechnical investigations using small diameter (\u3c 8-in. [20-cm]) borings and soundings.

Integrated Geotechnical and Geophysical Investigation of a Proposed Construction Site at Mowe, Southwestern Nigeria

open access: yesGeoScience Engineering, 2018
The subsurface of a proposed site for building development in Mowe, Nigeria, using Standard Penetration Test (SPT), Cone Penetrometer Test (CPT) and Horizontal Electrical Profiling (HEP), was investigated with the aim of evaluating the suitability of the

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Relationship between the standard penetration test and the pressuremeter test on sandy silty clays: A case study from Denizli

open access: yes, 2008
The standard penetration test (SPT) is the in situ test most commonly used to investigate the properties of silt, clay, sand and fine gravel. The Menard pressuremeter test (PMT) can be utilized to obtain the strength and deformation properties of any ...

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Predicting standard penetration test N-value from cone penetration test data using artificial neural networks

open access: yes, 2017
Standard Penetration Test (SPT) and Cone Penetration Test (CPT) are the most frequently used field tests to estimate soil parameters for geotechnical analysis and design. Numerous soil parameters are related to the SPT N-value.
