Fractions of Staphylococcal Enterotoxin B
Nature, 1965IN a recent paper1 we showed that enterotoxin B isolated from Staphylococcus aureus strain S6 could be separated into two main protein fractions by starch-gel electrophoresis. After the completion of this work we received communications concerning this observation from Dr. M. S. Bergdoll (University of Chicago) and from Dr. E. J. Schantz (U.S.

Heterogeneity of staphylococcal enterotoxin B
Canadian Journal of Microbiology, 1971Different forms of enterotoxin B obtained by hydroxyl apatite column chromatography and isoelectric focusing were found to produce lines of apparent serologic identity, but to differ in toxicity. This is interpreted to mean that the antigenic site or sites and toxic site or sites are most probably not the same in the molecule of enterotoxin B.

Purification of staphylococcal enterotoxin E
Natural Toxins, 1993AbstractStaphylococcal enterotoxin E has been purified by a combination of Red‐A ligand chromatography and Mono‐S (cation – exchange) chromatography. Commencing with 30 litres of fermenter‐grown culture the method has been used to purify 17 mg of toxin, giving a purification yield of around 40%.

Staphylococcal enterotoxin. I. Purification
Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 1959Abstract A procedure for purifying enterotoxin from the Staphylococcus strain S-6 has been outlined. Acid precipitation, adsorption on alumina, precipitation by ethanol, chromatography on IRC-50, and zone electrophoresis on starch were the methods used.

Detection of Staphylococcal Enterotoxin☆
Canadian Institute of Food Technology Journal, 1970Abstract Current methodology for the detection of staphylococcal enterotoxins in food is evaluated. The potential advantages of the solid-phase radioimmunoassy technique for the quantitative estimation of enterotoxins are discussed.

[Identification of staphylococcal enterotoxins].
Giornale di batteriologia, virologia ed immunologia, 1984The important problem of the staphylococcal enterotoxins identification from cultures of Staphylococcus aureus and from foods is discussed in this work. The usefulness and reliability both of the media and methods for the enterotoxins production and of the techniques of identification are examined. For practical purposes is very important to use simple,
