Staphylococcus pseudintermedius najčešća je koagulaza-pozitivna vrsta stafilokoka u fiziološkoj mikroflori pasa i mačaka. Može se izdvojiti iz nosnica, usne šupljine, anusa i kože slabinskog i čeonog područja zdravih pasa i mačaka. Uvjetno je patogena bakterija i jedan od najčešćih uzročnika upala kože i zvukovoda.
