CHEMICAL AND MYCOTOXICOLOGICAL STUDIES ON EGYPTIAN COTTON SEEDS AND THEIR MEALS "Gossypium barbaduse" [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Food and Dairy Sciences, 2004
Six cotton cultivars represent the two Egyptian cotton categories, i.e. extra long staple length (Giza 45, Giza 70 and Giza 86) and long staple (Giza 85, Giza 80 and Giza 83) were used in this study.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

ПРОДУКТИВНА ХАРАКТЕРИСТИКА НА ОВЦЕ ОТ КАРНОБАТСКА ТЪНКОРУННА ПОРОДА

open access: yesЖивотновъдни науки, 2010
The study was carried out with ewes born in period from 1999 to 2005 with the aim to characterise the productivity of the sheep from the Karnobat fine-wool breed. The basic productive traits (live weight, wool productivity, staple length up to 4.5 years

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

The effect of wool staple length on the mineral content using the same sheep feeding regime

open access: yes, 2017
The wool of sheep is suitable to test the mineral supply; however, a number of factors could affect the results. The growth rate and length of staple can be very different according to season, physiological state and individual variation.

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

An analysis of the wool characteristics that determine wool price for Merino wool in South Africa

open access: yesScientific African
Globally, wool characteristics determine wool price. As a result, wool that does not match the standards for fibre diameter, clean yield and staple length at auctions are sold at cheaper prices. At global level, very few studies in the literature of wool

Adjustment of Cotton Fiber Length by the Statistical Normal Distribution: Application to Binary Blends [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Engineered Fibers and Fabrics, 2008
In this study the normality of the cotton fiber length number distribution and weight distribution are tested by using the Chi-2 statistic test. Good correlations between the cotton fiber length distribution by weight and the normal distribution with the

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Effect of sex and rearing system on the quality and mineral content of fiber from raeini cashmere goats

open access: yesJournal of Animal Science and Biotechnology, 2012
The aim of this study was to compare the quality characteristics and mineral content of the fiber from male and female cashmere goats raised under different management systems. Male and female Raeini cashmere goats (
