Position and altitude control of a quadcopter using State-Dependent Riccati Equation (SDRE) control
2017 17th International Conference on Control, Automation and Systems (ICCAS), 2017This paper presents a solution to the problem of trajectory tracking for a quadcopter using a State-Dependent Riccati Equation (SDRE) controller. SDRE requires a pseudo-linear model of the system to be controlled so a pseudo-linear model of the quadcopter is derived first.

Abstract Since the 1990s, state-dependent Riccati equation (SDRE) strategies have emerged as general design methods that provide a systematic and effective means of designing nonlinear controllers, observers and filters. These methods overcome many of the difficulties and shortcomings of existing methodologies, and deliver computationally simple ...

The main objective of this work is to study the State Dependent Riccati Equation (SDRE) regulator; an adaptive Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) which allows to deal with the non linearities of the system to be controlled. In order to use this controller, a nonlinear mathematical model of a flexible rotatory beam is built through the Lagrangian ...

In this paper, an online technique for finite-horizon nonlinear stochastic tracking problems is presented. The idea of the proposed technique is to integrate the Kalman filter algorithm and the State Dependent Riccati Equation (SDRE) technique.

The state-dependent Riccati equation (SDRE) method is a recently emerging technique for the control design of nonlinear systems (Cloutier et al., 1996). Nonlinear regulator problems could be solved approximately, by applying a linear control theory to the nonlinear control design.
