Design and statistical analysis of a new chaotic block cipher for Wireless Sensor Networks
Communications in Nonlinear Science and Numerical Simulation, 2012Abstract Security issue is a vital and active topic in the research of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN). After surveying the existing encryption algorithms for WSN briefly, we propose a new chaotic block cipher for WSN and then compare the performance of this cipher with those of RC5 and RC6 block ciphers.

Some Simple Statistics to Test Against Ordered Alternatives in Complete Block Designs
Biometrical Journal, 1984AbstractConsider testing the hypothesis of no treatment effects against a postulated ranking of the m treatments, given data from n Complete Blocks. A suitable test statistic is the weighted average rank correlation w = σbQiCi where Ci is the correlation between the postulated ranking and the ranking observed within the ith block, Qi is the rank of the

Incomplete block designs for genetic testing: statistical efficiencies of estimating family means
Canadian Journal of Forest Research, 1998A half-sib progeny trial with single-tree plots on one test site of various environmental variations is simulated to examine the relative statistical efficiencies of randomized incomplete block designs (ICBs) over their corresponding randomized complete block design (RCB) in estimating family means. The ICBs with full constraint (FC), half constraint (

23. Statistical characteristics of event related and block design datasets
Clinical Neurophysiology, 2014Introduction In this work we characterize functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data from event related and block design studies with typical values of several parameters. We use signal to noise ratio (SNR), percent signal change (PSC) and statistical parametric maps, estimated by SPM8 toolbox (beta, con and t-statistic maps).

A STATISTICAL TEST FOR RANKING DATA FROM PARTIALLY BALANCED INCOMPLETE BLOCK DESIGNS
Journal of Sensory Studies, 2011ABSTRACTThe analysis of partially balanced incomplete block (PBIB) ranked data is discussed. Two examples are given to illustrate two alternative approaches. Analysis of PBIB ranking data is not covered in any of the standard sensory evaluation texts and this expository note is meant to help fill this gap.

Window design for overlapped block motion compensation through statistical motion modeling
Conference Record of the Thirty-First Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers (Cat. No.97CB36136), 2002This paper presents an analysis of the block-decimated motion estimates and relates them to the underlying motion random field. It further parameterizes the scene intensity random field and the motion random field in terms of their correlation properties.

Abstract The purpose of this paper is to derive minimal sufficient statistics for the balanced incomplete block design and the group divisible partially balanced incomplete block design when the Eisenhart Model III (mixed model) is assumed. The results are identical to Hultquist and Graybill's (1965) and Hirotsu's (1965) for the same model without ...

Jonckheere (1954) proposed a test statistic which is commonly used in testing for ordered alternatives in block designs.- We consider the application of Jonckheere's test statistic in block designs which have unequal scale parameters for the blocks.
