The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Steady-state creep in the mantle

open access: yesAnnals of Geophysics, 1977
SUMMARY - The creep equations for steady-state flow of olivine at high
pressure and temperature are compared in an attempt to elucidate the rheological
behaviour of the mantle.

Analogue mouse pointer control via an online steady state visual evoked potential (SSVEP) brain-computer interface [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The steady state visual evoked protocol has recently become a popular paradigm in brain–computer interface (BCI) applications. Typically (regardless of function) these applications offer the user a binary selection of targets that perform correspondingly

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

SSCAR-Steady State Cycle AnalyseR

open access: yes, 2017
This report describes the Steady-State Cycle AnalyseR (SCCAR), a solution engine that enables the steady state evaluation of thermodynamical cycles. SCCAR can be used to parametrically define thermodynamic cycles using a library of predefined building ...

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Steady state of periodically driven quantum systems

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
Periodic driving is used to steer physical systems to unique stationary states or nonequilibrium steady states (NESS), producing enhanced properties inaccessible to nondriven systems.
