Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

SKIN MANIFESTATION OF ACUTE GRAFT-VERSUS-HOST DISEASE MIMICKING DENGUE FEVER RASH: A CASE REPORT

open access: yesHematology, Transfusion and Cell Therapy
The impact of dengue on Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT) patients is poorly understood, with few case reports from endemic areas and no prospective studies.

Stem Cell Therapy Without The Stem Cells

open access: yes, 2023
Today it is postulated that the in vivo activation of dormant stem cell repair activity is the primary cause of increased therapeutic benefit to patients, not the injection of stem cells themselves. We can almost say that stem cells are not even particularly necessary to the beneficial stem cell treatment of various conditions and diseases. Techniques,

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Spatial and single‐nuclei transcriptomics reveals idiosyncratic and generic patterns in papillary and anaplastic thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Matched spatial transcriptomics and single‐nuclei RNA‐seq were generated for anaplastic and BRAFV600E papillary thyroid cancers revealing generic and tumor‐specific states occurring in cancer cells and in the tumor microenvironment. In this context, cancer dedifferentiation mirrored organoid maturation through ordered thyroid marker gain/loss ...

Development and explainable AI-driven characterization of a prognostic model for haploidentical transplantation outcomes

open access: yesnpj Digital Medicine
We developed a novel, explainable artificial intelligence (AI)-driven prognostic model using a contemporary single-centre cohort of 668 patients undergoing haploidentical hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) with post-transplantation cyclophosphamide

Inhibition of cyclin‐dependent kinases 12/13 using CT7439 as a treatment for colorectal cancer with CDK12 upregulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and

Uncoupling toxicity from efficacy in donor selection for allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation: a retrospective cohort study using double machine learning

open access: yesJournal of Hematology & Oncology
Haploidentical hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) offers potent graft-versus-tumor effects but is historically limited by higher non-relapse mortality (NRM) compared to matched unrelated (MUD) or related donors (MRD).

A Novel Recombinant Vitronectin Variant Supports the Expansion and Differentiation of Pluripotent Stem Cells in Defined Animal-Free Workflows

open access: yesCells
An essential aspect of harnessing the potential of pluripotent stem cells (PSCs) and their derivatives for regenerative medicine is the development of animal-free and chemically defined conditions for ex vivo cultivation.
