Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Experiments and thermophysical simulations were conducted to investigate the electron beam powder bed fusion electron beam (PBF‐EB/M) process for the γ′‐strengthened nickel‐based superalloy Inconel 738LC. The results demonstrate the impact of process‐induced microstructural variations on high‐temperature mechanical behavior, providing a basis for ...

Association Mapping Reveals Novel Stem Rust Resistance Loci in Durum Wheat at the Seedling Stage
Wheat stem rust rapidly evolves new virulence to resistance genes. Recently emerged races in East Africa, such as TTKSK (or Ug99), possess broad virulence to durum cultivars, and only a limited number of genes provide resistance.

Stem rust is an occasional, but devastating disease of wheat. Epidemics occur when there is a carry over of stem rust from the previous season, susceptible varieties of wheat are grown, and warm humid conditions in the spring encourage disease ...

Entropy‐Driven Design of Low‐Melting‐Point Alloys via Compositionally Complex Strategy
Conventional low‐melting‐point alloys (LMPAs) are limited by a narrow compositional space and inherent property trade‐offs. This review presents an entropy‐driven design strategy that overcomes these limitations, ushering in a new class of low‐melting‐point compositionally complex alloys (LMCCAs).

Recombination in the wheat stem rust pathogen mediated by an indigenous barberry species in Spain
The comeback of wheat stem rust in Europe, caused by Puccinia graminis f. sp. tritici, and the prevalence of the alternate (sexual) host in local areas have recently regained attention as a potential threat to European wheat production.

Effect of plantation design on stem-infecting form of rust in willow biomass coppice
Planting of genotype mixtures is a major strategy for the non-chemical control of willow rust in short-rotation coppice willows grown for biomass. In 1997 and 1998, the relative severity and spatiotemporal distribution of stem canker damage by Melampsora

A systematic review is conducted to assess the influence of electrode architecture across micro‐ to mesoscopic length scales on electron‐transfer pathways in electrocatalysis. We discuss the structure‐activity relationships in electrocatalytic applications, including resource recovery and environmental remediation, and provide cost‐effective, efficient
