Evaluating the Effect of Anti-Vortex Plates on Discharge Coefficient in Short Throat Shaft Spillway [PDF]
Knowing more about the flow behavior of short-stepped shaft spillways helps to use this structure better and more efficiently. Moreover, using a vortex breaker greatly affects passing flow through Shaft Spillway. For use more efficiently, the risk of the

Data‐Driven Bulldozer Blade Control for Autonomous Terrain Leveling
A simulation‐driven framework for autonomous bulldozer leveling is presented, combining high‐fidelity terramechanics simulation with a neural‐network‐based reduced‐order model. Gradient‐based optimization enables efficient, low‐level blade control that balances leveling quality and operation time.

Computational Fluid Dynamics Modeling of Flow over Stepped Spillway
In present paper, the computational fluid dynamics (CFD – program Flow-3D) was used to analyze and study the characteristics of flow energy dissipation over stepped spillways. Three different spillway heights (15, 20 and 25cm) were used. For each one of

Energy Dissipation on Stepped Spillways [PDF]
The author provided interesting data on stepped spillway flows. The writer would like to add some information on flow resistance of skimming flows and discuss the energy dissipation on stepped chutes. It will be shown that the author's results are not dissimilar with results previously obtained by other researchers.

ABSTRACT Brown and beige adipocytes dissipate energy as heat, yet effective strategies to enhance their mitochondrial efficiency remain limited. Here, we identify Agnuside (AGN) as a selective stabilizer of the complex I assembly factor NDUFAF6. AGN directly binds cytosolic NDUFAF6, suppresses its ubiquitination, prolongs its half‐life, and facilitates

Location of inception point of alternating steps stepped spillways
This study explored the effects of flat-stepped spillways having alternating steps on the inception point location. Two wooden stepped spillways with a longitudinal slope of 26.6° were constructed in a rectangular flume and tested at various discharges, ranging from 0.003 to 0.05 m3/s.

Mechanistic studies on model Cu─M/SiO2 catalysts (M = Zn, Ga, and In) reveal that promoters enable a formate spillover pathway from Cu to Mn+ (n = 2 or 3) sites. The promoter's electronic effect on formate bond strengths serves as a quantitative descriptor for activity and selectivity, balancing spillover dynamics with intermediate stabilization to ...

Prediction of air concentration in stepped spillways using data-oriented methods [PDF]
The high flow velocity and the pressure reduction in the spillways cause damage to the spillways. In the present research, the application of Gaussian Process Regression (GPR) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) was investigated for predicting air ...
