The role of biological dose-escalation for pancreatic cancer
The role of chemo-radiotherapy for treatment of locally advanced pancreatic cancer (LAPC) has been discussed for many years, and the absence of an overall survival benefit compared to gemcitabine chemotherapy alone in the recent LAP07 study seems to have

Impact of use of optical surface imaging on initial patient setup for stereotactic body radiotherapy treatments [PDF]
Purpose To evaluate the effectiveness of surface image guidance (SG) for pre‐imaging setup of stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) patients, and to investigate the impact of SG reference surface selection on this process.

The role of radiation therapy in bone metastases management [PDF]
Bone metastases represent an important complication of malignant tumours. Despite improvement in surgical techniques and advances in systemic therapies, management of patients with bone metastatic disease remains a powerful cornerstone for the radiation ...

Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Ultrasmall Platinum Nanoparticles for Radiation‐Enhanced Cancer Therapy
This work proposes a nanomedicine‐based strategy to enhance X‐ray radiotherapy for cancer treatment. Ultrasmall Pt‐NPs exhibit catalase‐like activity that may contribute to modulation of the tumor microenvironment and amplify interactions between radiation and biological matter, leading to increased DNA damage.

Stereotactic Radiosurgery Practice Patterns for Brain Metastases in the United States: A National Survey [PDF]
Background: Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) has emerged as an important modality for the treatment of intracranial metastases. There are currently few established guidelines delineating indications for SRS use and fewer still regarding plan evaluation in
