Influence of Honeybee Sting on Peptidome Profile in Human Serum

open access: yesToxins, 2015
The aim of this study was to explore the serum peptide profiles from honeybee stung and non-stung individuals. Two groups of serum samples obtained from 27 beekeepers were included in our study. The first group of samples was collected within 3 h after a

STING-mediated disruption of calcium homeostasis chronically activates ER stress and primes T cell death [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
STING gain-of-function mutations cause lung disease and T cell cytopenia through unknown mechanisms. Here, we found that these mutants induce chronic activation of ER stress and unfolded protein response (UPR), leading to T cell death by apoptosis in ...

Ultrahigh‐Yield, Multifunctional, and High‐Performance Organic Memory for Seamless In‐Sensor Computing Operation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Molecular engineering of a nonconjugated radical polymer enables a significant enhancement of the glass transition temperature. The amorphous nature and tunability of the polymer, arising from its nonconjugated backbone, facilitates the fabrication of organic memristive devices with an exceptionally high yield (>95%), as well as substantial ...

Unraveling the Mg Loss Mechanism and Degradation Kinetics in Thermoelectric n‐Type Mg2Si‐Mg2Sn Solid Solutions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Mg‐based thermoelectrics are among the most promising candidates for power generation applications but their performance is compromised by Mg loss at device operation temperatures due to the higher chemical potential of Mg (μMg${\mu}_{\mathrm{Mg}}$) inside the material compared to the environment.

Experimental and analytical transonic flutter characteristics of a geared-elevator configuration [PDF]

open access: yes
The flutter model represented the aft fuselage and empennage of a proposed supersonic transport airplane and had an all movable horizontal tail with a geared elevator. It was tested mounted from a sting in the transonic dynamics tunnel. Symmetric flutter

Bimetallic Nanoreactor Activates cGAS‐STING Pathway via mtDNA Release for Cancer Metalloimmunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A bimetallic Mn–Ca nanoreactor (MCC) is developed as a non‐nucleotide STING nanoagonist for cancer metalloimmunotherapy. MCC induces Ca2+ overload and hydroxyl radical generation, resulting in mitochondrial damage and mtDNA release. The released mtDNA cooperates with Mn2+ to robustly activate cGAS–STING signaling.
