Three‐Dimensional Hierarchical Nanowire‐Networks with Deep‐Focus Tolerance and Adhesion Robustness for Harsh‐Environment SERS Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D nanowire‐network SERS substrate with robust adhesion is developed, featuring pronounced z‐direction optical activity, ultralow detection limit (1.5 × 10−13 M), and excellent signal uniformity (RSD < 10%). Enabled by enhanced light scattering, increased optical density of states, and structural reinforcement, the substrate demonstrates stable, high‐

Multistage Stochastic Integer Programs

open access: yes, 2001
We consider linear multistage stochastic integer programs and study their functional and dynamic programming formulations as well as conditions for optimality and stability of solutions. Furthermore, we study the application of the Rockafellar-Wets dualization approach as well as the structure and algorithmic potential of corresponding dual problems ...

Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Testing for Third-Order Stochastic Dominance with Diversification Possibilities [PDF]

open access: yes
We derive an empirical test for third-order stochastic dominance that allows fordiversification between choice alternatives. The test can be computed usingstraightforward linear programming.

A note on evolutionary stochastic portfolio optimization and probabilistic constraints [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In this note, we extend an evolutionary stochastic portfolio optimization framework to include probabilistic constraints. Both the stochastic programming-based modeling environment as well as the evolutionary optimization environment are ideally suited ...

Nanodiamond‐Based Quantum Sensing Reveals Changes in Endo‐Lysosomal Activity of Stimulated Cardiac Fibroblasts in a Cellular Fibrosis Model

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Quantum sensing reveals intricate patterns linking endo‐lysosomal maturation to cardiac fibrosis progression, highlighting complexity in cellular remodeling. This study investigates fibroblast‐to‐myofibroblast transition under cell aging, stiffness, and TGF‐β stimulation, comparing nanodiamond uptake, endo‐lysosomal dynamics, and free radical ...

A Stochastic Inexact Robust Model for Regional Energy System Management and Emission Reduction Potential Analysis—A Case Study of Zibo City, China

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
In this study, in order to improve regional energy system adjustment, a multistage stochastic inexact robust programming (MSIRP) is proposed for electric-power generation planning and structure adjustment management under uncertainty.

Molecularly Engineered Highly Stable Memristors with Ultra‐Low Operational Voltage: Integrating Synthetic DNA with Quasi‐2D Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Molecularly engineered memristors integrating Ag nanoparticle–embedded synthetic DNA with quasi‐2D halide perovskites enable ultra‐low‐operational voltage, forming‐free resistive switching, and record‐low power density. This synergistic integration of customized DNA and 2D OHP in bio‐hybrid architecture enhances charge transport, reduces variability ...
