MyD88‐Family Adaptors: Compartmentalised Signalling and Non‐Immune Functions

open access: yesImmunology, EarlyView.
MyD88‐family adaptors coordinate receptor‐ and compartment‐specific innate immune signalling across plasma membrane and endosomal pathways. At the plasma membrane, TIRAP/MAL supports MyD88‐dependent signalling downstream of TLR2 and TLR4, whereas endosomal TLR7, TLR8 and TLR9 recruit MyD88 directly.

RING E3 ligase SNIPER8 functions redundantly with three close homologs to regulate the turnover of transcriptional co‐repressor TPR1

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, EarlyView.
The Arabidopsis E3 ligase SNIPER8 negatively regulates immunity by promoting ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of the transcriptional corepressor TOPLESS‐RELATED1, limiting excessive immune responses, maintaining immune homeostasis, and balancing defense activation and normal plant growth.

SlBPC1 regulates fruit elongation by directly repressing SlOFP2/SlOFP21 and SUN expression in tomato

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, EarlyView.
In tomato, switching off the transcription factor gene SlBPC1 leads to longer fruits by altering cell division patterns during early fruit development. The SlBPC1 regulatory pathway includes the SlOFP2, SlOFP21, and SUN genes, offering valuable targets for breeding tomatoes with market‐preferred shapes.

A NAC–MYB–cysteine regulatory module enhances drought and salt tolerance in soybean

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, EarlyView.
In the GmNAC3—GmMYB60—GmCYS20 module, GmNAC3 represses the transcription factor gene GmMYB60 and GmMYB60 suppresses the cysteine biosynthetic gene GmCYS20. GmCYS20‐mediated cysteine metabolism feeds back to limit GmMYB60 activity. This transcription—metabolism circuit enhances stress tolerance and offers breeding targets for resilient soybean ...

Periodontal Salutogenesis: Why Are Some People Resistant to Oral Microbial Dysbiosis and Destructive Inflammation?

open access: yesJournal of Periodontal Research, EarlyView.
Emerging evidence suggests that periodontal health is not simply the absence of disease, but the result of a dynamic interaction between biological resilience, healthy lifestyles, adaptive coping mechanisms, and supportive environments. This results in a strong sense of coherence, which is not only a psychological state but also a biological state ...
