Modelling busway operation with mixed stopping and non-stopping buses [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
This thesis investigated the complexity of busway operation with stopping and non-stopping buses using field data and microscopic simulation modelling.\ud \ud The proposed approach made significant recommendations to transit authorities to achieve the ...

Optimal Configuration of Proton-Therapy Accelerators for Relative-Stopping-Power Resolution in Proton Computed Tomography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
The determination of relative stopping power (RSP) via proton computed tomography (pCT) of a patient is dependent in part on the knowledge of the incoming proton kinetic energies; the uncertainty in these energies is in turn determined by the proton ...

Erratum to: Relaxion fluctuations (self-stopping relaxion) and overview of relaxion stopping mechanisms

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
We correct a minor point in section 3.2 of “Relaxion Fluctuations (Self-stopping Relaxion) and Overview of Relaxion Stopping Mechanisms”, JHEP 05 (2020) 080. Furthermore, we clarify the origin of equation (4.25).

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Modeling Drivers’ Stopping Behaviors during Yellow Intervals at Intersections considering Group Heterogeneity

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Transportation, 2020
Stopping behavior during yellow intervals is one of the critical driver behaviors correlated with intersection safety. As the main index of stopping behavior, stopping time is typically described by Accelerated Failure Time (AFT) model.

Temporally-precise disruption of prefrontal cortex informed by the timing of beta bursts impairs human action-stopping

open access: yesNeuroImage, 2020
Human action-stopping is thought to rely on a prefronto-basal ganglia-thalamocortical network, with right inferior frontal cortex (rIFC) posited to play a critical role in the early stage of implementation. Here we sought causal evidence for this idea in

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Longitudinal genome‐wide aneuploidy measurements in circulating cell‐free DNA to predict lack of benefit from pembrolizumab in patients with metastatic urothelial cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

Automated stopping criterion for spectral measurements with active learning

open access: yesnpj Computational Materials, 2021
The automated stopping of a spectral measurement with active learning is proposed. The optimal stopping of the measurement is realised with a stopping criterion based on the upper bound of the posterior average of the generalisation error of the Gaussian

Stopping gluinos

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2007
Long lived gluinos are the trademark of split supersymmetry. They form R-hadrons that, when charged, efficiently lose energy in matter via ionisation. Independent of R-spectroscopy and initial hadronization, a fraction of R-hadrons become charged while traversing a detector.
