Background: Entry of air into the extracorporeal circuit and inappropriate anticoagulation are significant factors associated with clotting. Even with systemic heparination, microbubbles can be implicated as sites for thrombosis and accelerate heparin ...

The Prentice-O'Gorman destination appraisal matrix: Iranian case study [PDF]
Prentice's model was designed to challenge a tendency in contemporary destination marketing to emphasise SSPs (Standardised Selling Points) rather than USPs (Unique (or at least Unusual) Selling Points). This process of standardisation is what the French

Edge coloring and stopping sets analysis in product codes with MDS components [PDF]
International audienceWe consider non-binary product codes with MDS components and their iterative row-column algebraic decoding on the erasure channel. Both independent and block erasures are considered in this paper.

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Characterization of Time-Consistent Sets of Measures in Finite Trees [PDF]
In this paper we give an alternative characterization for time-consistent sets of measures in a discrete setting. For each measure p in a time-consistent set P we get a distinct set of predictable processes which in return describe the p uniquely.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...
