Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

Pole Dancing: 3D Morphs for Tree Drawings

open access: yesJournal of Graph Algorithms and Applications, 2019
We study the question whether a crossing-free 3D morph between two straight-line drawings of an $n$-vertex tree $T$ can be constructed consisting of a small number of linear morphing steps. We look both at the case in which the two given drawings are two-

Straight-Line Drawings of 2-Outerplanar Graphs on Two Curves [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
We study how to draw a 2-outerplane graph on two concentric circles, so that the internal (resp. external) vertices lie on the internal (resp. external) circle.

Longitudinal genome‐wide aneuploidy measurements in circulating cell‐free DNA to predict lack of benefit from pembrolizumab in patients with metastatic urothelial cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

Drawing Partially Embedded and Simultaneously Planar Graphs

open access: yesJournal of Graph Algorithms and Applications, 2015
We investigate the problem of constructing planar drawings with few bends for two related problems, the partially embedded graph problem-to extend a straight-line planar drawing of a subgraph to a planar drawing of the whole graph-and the simultaneous ...

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Formation surfaces of Monge by the kinematic method in AutoCAD environment

open access: yesStructural Mechanics of Engineering Constructions and Buildings, 2019
Aims of research. Studying the possibility of forming Monge carved surfaces, defined by the method of their formation, creating an algorithm and program in the AutoLISP language to demonstrate the formation of surfaces in the AutoCAD environment in a ...

A Note on Minimum-Area Straight-Line Drawings of Planar Graphs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Despite a long research effort, finding the minimum area for straight-line grid drawings of planar graphs is still an elusive goal. A long-standing lower bound on the area requirement for straight-line drawings of plane graphs was established in 1984 by Dolev, Leighton, and Trickey, who exhibited a family of graphs, known as nested triangles graphs ...

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

Monotone Drawings of Graphs

open access: yesJournal of Graph Algorithms and Applications, 2012
We study a new standard for visualizing graphs: A monotone drawing is a straight-line drawing such that, for every pair of vertices, there exists a path that monotonically increases with respect to some direction.
