Interlayer Expansion of Bulk MoS2 via Top‐Down Organic Pillaring Enables Tunable Li+ Intercalation and Controlled Solvent Co‐Intercalation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Top‐down organic pillaring expands the interlayer spacing of bulk‐sized MoS2 particles while preserving the bulk morphology. Operando X‐ray diffraction and electrochemical dilatometry show that MoS2‐bulk undergoes solvent co‐intercalation in diglyme electrolyte, causing large structural expansion, while pillared, expanded MoS2 suppresses solvent uptake

Interface Effects in Ultrathin Silicon on Insulator Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work establishes a systematic framework to discriminate how bulk and interface phenomena affect charge transport in ultrathin P‐doped silicon‐on‐insulator (SOI) films. For Si films below 15 nm, electrical characterization demonstrates that interface states drive charge transport, shifting the metal‐insulator transition (MIT) critical dopant ...

Support‐Controlled Reaction Pathways via Dynamic Sulfur‐Mediated Interfaces for Selective Urea Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Sulfur‐doped graphitized carbon nanofibers act as adaptive catalyst–support platforms, enabling dynamic sulfur‐mediated reconstruction and strong metal–support interactions. This unique behavior enhances catalyst stability and controls reaction pathways, achieving highly selective urea oxidation (∼92% N2) coupled with efficient hydrogen evolution ...

Giant Magnetic Coercivity Driven by Spin‐Bag Ferromagnetism in Epitaxial Sr3YCo4O10+δ Films with Engineered 2D Oxygen Vacancy Ordering

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A giant magnetic coercivity and a vertical shift of hysteresis loops are demonstrated in Sr3YCo4O10+δ epitaxial films. The hard magnetic behavior originates from ferromagnetic spin bags stabilized within a long‐range ordered oxygen‐vacancy structure.

Strategic plan/planning strategically

Journal of PeriAnesthesia Nursing, 2001
IN EARLY 2000, ASPAN undertook a critical strategic planning process to update its strategic long-range direction. The Strategic Plan will be available in printed format for the members of the Representative Assembly during the April 2001 National Conference in Boston, MA.

Strategic Planning

Nursing Management (Springhouse), 1998
An interdisciplinary continuum-of-care process achieves a unit's mission and enhances team excellence. Quality of patient care improves, costs decrease, staff satisfaction and morale increase, and a sense of team integration emerges. Strategic planning is an effective tool to actualize this process.

Planning strategically and strategic planning

The Bottom Line, 2008
PurposeThis paper argues that, while one needs to logically decide on an organization's strategy, it does not need to be a product of a lengthy strategic planning process.Design/methodology/approachThe paper discusses and gives examples to illustrate why an institution does not need to go through an intricate strategic planning process.FindingsA ...
