Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

A Modified Ratio-Cum-Product Estimator of Finite Population Mean in Stratified Random Sampling Rajesh Tailor1)

open access: yesData Science Journal, 2009
This paper suggests a ratio-cum-product estimator of finite population mean using a correlation coefficient between study variate and auxiliary variate in stratified random sampling.

Comparison of stratified diagonal ranked set sampling and stratified simple random sampling estimators

open access: yes, 2021
Stratified Diagonal Ranked Set Sampling (SDRSS) was compared with Stratified Simple Random Sampling (SSRS) for estimating the unknown population mean. Simulated data generated twice were used to check the performance of SDRSS for estimating the mean and ...

Flow Enabled Target Capture Halbach‐based magnetic enrichment increases circulating tumor cell capture from blood in metastatic cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pair‐wise comparison of the CellSearch and FETCH enrichment technologies for circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from metastatic breast, prostate, and small cell lung cancer patients shows an increased capture of CTCs using FETCH enrichment. The clinical implementation of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) as a predictive tool for therapy efficacy in the ...

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

A Family of Estimators of a Sensitive Variable Using Auxiliary Information in Stratified Random Sampling

open access: yes, 2017
In this article, a combined general family of estimators is proposed for estimating finite population mean of a sensitive variable in stratified random sampling with non-sensitive auxiliary variable based on randomized response technique.

Longitudinal genome‐wide aneuploidy measurements in circulating cell‐free DNA to predict lack of benefit from pembrolizumab in patients with metastatic urothelial cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

Estimators for a Finite Population Variance and sample size in Stratified Random Sampling (SRS) [PDF]

open access: yesالمجلة العراقية للعلوم الاحصائية, 2007
This paper is concerned with the methods of the sample size calculations, especially through proposed estimator which depends in its formation on finite population variance in stratified random sample.

Variance-Optimal Offline and Streaming Stratified Random Sampling

open access: yesCoRR, 2018
Stratified random sampling (SRS) is a fundamental sampling technique that provides accurate estimates for aggregate queries using a small size sample, and has been used widely for approximate query processing. A key question in SRS is how to partition a target sample size among different strata.
