Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Modified true triaxial Hoek-Brown criterion considering intermediate principal stress effect
In order to improve the Hoek-Brown strength criterion not considering the influence of intermediate principal stress on rock strength, the evolutions of rock strength were investigated according to the results of the rock true triaxial compression test ...

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Testing the Collective Properties of Small-World Networks through Roughness Scaling
Motivated by a fundamental synchronization problem in scalable parallel computing and by a recent criterion for ``mean-field'' synchronizability in interacting systems, we study the Edwards-Wilkinson model on two variations of a small-worldnetwork.

In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

Anderson Transition in Disordered Bilayer Graphene
Employing the Kernel Polynomial method (KPM), we study the electronic properties of the graphene bilayers in the presence of diagonal disorder, within the tight-binding approximation.

Both cg12821679MAPRE3 methylation and MAPRE3 expression are significantly associated with overall survival (OS) of non‐small cell lung cancer. Meanwhile, MAPRE3 expression significantly modified the effect of smoking cessation on OS. Smoking cessation benefits OS merely for patients with high MAPRE3 expression.

An optimality criterion for sizing members of heated structures with temperature constraints [PDF]
A thermal optimality criterion is presented for sizing members of heated structures with multiple temperature constraints. The optimality criterion is similar to an existing optimality criterion for design of mechanically loaded structures with ...

Polymer adsorption on heterogeneous surfaces
The adsorption of a single ideal polymer chain on energetically heterogeneous and rough surfaces is investigated using a variational procedure introduced by Garel and Orland (Phys. Rev. B 55 (1997), 226). The mean polymer size is calculated perpendicular
