: Behaviour of T-beam of bridge with steel plate as flexural strengthening. Some research about reinforced concrete beams strengthened by external steel plate have been conducted previously. Almost all research used rectangular beams as model. The aim of

Prestressed CFRP Plates and Tendon Strengthening of Steel–Concrete Composite Beams
This study aims to enhance the ultimate capacity and stiffness of steel–concrete composite beams through external strengthening with prestressed carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) plates and post-tensioned CFRP tendons.

Behavior of Beams Strengthened with Steel Fiber RC Overlays
Strengthening of reinforced concrete beams using steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) overlays has been investigated in the test program described in this paper. Two methods have been used to connect the overlays to the original beams, i.e. chemical and mechanical bonding.

Thermomechanical fatigue tests of laser beam powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB) Inconel 718 show that the additively manufactured material reaches almost the lifetimes of conventionally‐rolled material under no‐dwell conditions. Introducing dwell times at the maximum temperature markedly reduces the lifetimes due to pronounced grain boundary sliding associated

Despite having many advantages, using rubber to produce reinforced concrete members like beams is still restricted. When there is more waste tire rubber in concrete structures, rubber concrete's flexural and compressive strengths gradually decrease ...

Creating Ti–Fe α/β Alloys by Diffusion‐Driven Solid‐State Processing
This study proposes making alloys containing fast diffusing elements that are difficult to produce by ingot metallurgy, by diffusion‐driven solid‐state HIP processing of elemental powders and low‐temperature homogenisation. Here, novel Fe‐Ti α–β alloys are formed having fine α–β lamellae, a small β prior grain size without significant intermetallics ...

Investigation of Steel I-Beams Strengthened Using CFRP and BFRP Sheets under Torsion
Torsional demand acting on beams can significantly effect structural behavior and cause high-local stresses. The torsional resistance of beams can be potentially increased by using fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) sheets.

Karl Popper and the Mechanisms of Hydrogen Embrittlement
Representation of the beginning of loss of ductility rather than embrittlement. Small concentrations of hydrogen in a diffusible form within iron are well‐established to harm the mechanical integrity of steels. There are theories that attempt to explain the pernicious role of hydrogen.

Investigation and numerical analysis of steel beams strengthened with CFRP
One of the most common methods of strengthening concrete structures is the use of composite fibers such as FRP. These fibers have found a special place in structural retrofitting methods due to a number of specific ability including lightness and ease of performance.
