Recombinant subunit vaccines against Neospora caninum [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The intracellular protozoan parasite Neospora caninum is an important cause of bovine abortion and congenital infection in many countries. Currently there is no effective control method available, and development of a vaccine has been suggested as a ...

Streptavidin yielding with Ponceau v1 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The aim is to see if the streptavidin binds correctly to the nitrocelullose membrane. Only after achieving a positive result is recommended to proceed to the next step (the dot blot).

Interference From Anti-Streptavidin Antibody

open access: yesArchives of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, 2013
Immunoassays are commonly used for clinical diagnosis, although interferences have been well documented. The streptavidin-biotin interaction provides an efficient and convenient method to manipulate assay components and is currently used in several immunoassay platforms.

Modulating Signal Generation in Aptamer‐Based CNT‐FET Biosensors by Controlling the Functionalization Route

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.
The impact of different assembly strategies is discussed on the performance of nanoscale aptamer‐based SWCNT‐FET biosensors. By combining electrical and optical characterization, this is revealed that how aptamer conformation affects local electrostatic changes within the Debye length, leading to distinct sensor responses.

Sorting and separation of microparticles by surface properties using liquid crystal-enabled electro-osmosis

open access: yes, 2018
Sorting and separation of microparticles is a challenging problem of interdisciplinary nature. Existing technologies can differentiate microparticles by their bulk properties, such as size, density, electric polarizability, etc.

Streptavidin-CBD purification v1 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The aim of this protocol is to obtain the purified streptavidin with cellulose binding domains on both sides from the transformed bacteria E. coli. Later on, this protein will be attached to a membrane as part of the detection system. The obtention of the proteins starts at this point with transformed bacteria (E. coli).

FUS Selectively Facilitates circRNAs Packing into Small Extracellular Vesicles within Hypoxia Neuron

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study aimed to unravel the role of FUS in the loading of functional circRNAs into neuronal sEVs under hypoxic conditions, which involves their aggregations in SGs and specific interaction between the FUS Zf_RanBP domain to regulate circRNA sorting in sEVs.
