Tunable‐Threshold UV Dosimetry With Programmable Luminescent Tags via Oxygen‐Mediated Room‐Temperature Phosphorescence

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A fully organic UV threshold dosimeter is developed by exploiting the oxygen‐sensitive room‐temperature phosphorescence of a purely organic emitter in a polymer matrix. Upon reaching a specific cumulative UV dose, photochemical oxygen depletion triggers a sharp, high‐contrast emission.

Cigarette Smoke‐Induced Alveolar Macrophage Senescence via GEM/SIRT3‐Mediated Mitochondrial Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cigarette smoke accelerates the aging of immune cells in the lung. By combining human single‐cell sequencing, cell culture, and mouse models, the authors show that the protein GEM drives mitochondrial damage and senescence in alveolar macrophages by suppressing SIRT3.

Mechanical behavior on welding residual stress relief annealing of repair welding in thick plate.

open access: yesQUARTERLY JOURNAL OF THE JAPAN WELDING SOCIETY, 1988
In this paper, the mechanical behavior on SR (stress relief annealing) for the purpose of removing the residual stress produced by repair welding of thick plate is clarified. The obtained main result is as follows:From the results of three-dimensional thermal elasto-plastic stress and creep analyses:1) At the early stage during SR-treatment, the creep ...

Structurally Complex Precipitates Enhance Strength‐Ductility Synergy in a Duplex Medium Entropy Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Strong‐yet‐ductile precipitation‐hardening alloys require novel microstructural complexity of precipitates in particularly at cryogenic condition, to constantly impart strain hardening of hard‐and‐brittle precipitates. The present work creates innovative structurally complex precipitates assembled with dispersed nanocores and a chemical‐heterogeneity ...
