Physicochemical properties and sensory evaluation of a bean‐based composite soup flour

open access: yesLegume Science, Volume 4, Issue 4, December 2022., 2022
The graphical abstract shows the composite flour raw materials (red kidney beans, amaranth leaves, sweet potatoes, and carrots) made into flour, and then, four different composite soup flours were formulated using different ratios. The four composite soup flours were subjected to sensory evaluation to choose the most preferred or the best composite ...

Improving the Nutritional Quality of Instant Noodles Made From Wheat Flour Using Dry and Wet Fractionated Mungbean Protein Ingredients

open access: yesCereal Chemistry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives The nutritional quality of instant noodles can be improved using dry and wet fractionated mungbean protein ingredients. Wheat flour was blended with mungbean protein concentrate and protein isolate to produce high‐protein instant noodles of around 15%, 20%, and 25% protein.

Manufacture of Soft‐Hard Implants from Electrospun Filaments Embedded in 3D Printed Structures

open access: yesMacromolecular Bioscience, Volume 22, Issue 12, December 2022., 2022
The surgical repair of rotator cuff tendon tears can fail due to use of suture anchors that do not promote healing of the native tissues. A simple manufacturing approach is presented here that combines electrospun filaments and 3D printing to achieve biphasic scaffolds using biocompatible materials: a soft polydioxanone cuff embedded in a porous ...

Catalysis in Chemical Modification of Proteins

open access: yesChemCatChem, Accepted Article.
Advancement of catalytic transformations in traditional synthetic organic chemistry have made significant impacts on development of novel bioconjugation technologies. While a wide range of applications have become possible through catalytic protein bioconjugation approaches, there has been a lack of literature collectively reviewing advances of ...
