The AlpIce‐1 database is the first compilation of published geomorphological and geochronological markers constraining build‐up, culmination and decay of glaciers from the Last Glacial Maximum through the Holocene across the entire European Alps. AlpIce‐1 integrates more than 4200 surface‐exposure and radiocarbon ages, homogenized, quality controlled ...

Taxonomic and functional patterns of arthropod succession after glacier retreat in the Dolomite Alps
Arthropod succession after glacier retreat varied among species and forelands in the Dolomites Alps, with community composition shaped by glacier identity, time since deglaciation and local environmental conditions. Functional composition shifted from small, highly dispersive pioneer species to larger, less dispersive taxa, reflecting increasing ...

A Novel Construction of Efficient Substitution-Boxes Using Cubic Fractional Transformation
A symmetric block cipher employing a substitution–permutation duo is an effective technique for the provision of information security. For substitution, modern block ciphers use one or more substitution boxes (S-Boxes).

Abstract One indicator that a robust S-box is an ideal strict avalanche criterion value of 0.5. One method for applying the ideal strict avalanche criterion value is the selection of the precise irreducible polynomial and affine matrix.

‘This Is Not Europe’: Investigating the Commission's Anti‐Populist Articulation of ‘European Values’
Abstract Whilst ‘populism’ is often considered antithetical to ‘European values’, how this contrast shapes the very meaning of such ‘values’ remains underexplored. This article investigates the European Commission's anti‐populist articulation of ‘European values’, which constructs ‘populism’ as their constitutive outside.

Abstract This article examines how salient sustainability risks from near‐miss natural disasters influence board composition. Using a difference‐in‐differences design, I find that firms located in counties neighboring disaster‐affected areas significantly increase the presence of directors with sustainability expertise following the disaster.

This review decodes the grammar of plant cis‐regulatory elements, revealing that their function emerges from sequence, chromatin accessibility, 3D topology, and cell type context. It highlights how single‐cell omics, CRISPR dissection, and AI‐driven design converge to enable predictive engineering and crop improvement. ABSTRACT Cis‐regulatory elements (

S-Box on Subgroup of Galois Field
In substitution−permutation network as a cryptosystem, substitution boxes play the role of the only nonlinear part. It would be easy for adversaries to compromise the security of the system without them.

Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) security relies on the Substitution box (S-Box), which provides nonlinearity and confusion. Because this algebraic form is fixed, the cipher can be attacked with algebraic and structural cryptanalysis.
