The ER = EPR correspondence relates a superposition of entangled, disconnected spacetimes to a connected spacetime with an Einstein-Rosen bridge. We construct examples in which both sides may be described by weakly-coupled string theory.

DUALITY SYMMETRY GROUP OF TWO DIMENSIONAL HETEROTIC STRING THEORY [PDF]
The equations of motion of the massless sector of the two dimensional string theory, obtained by compactifying the heterotic string theory on an eight dimensional torus, is known to have an affine o(8,24) symmetry algebra generating an O(8,24) loop group.

ON THE GAUGE/GRAVITY CORRESPONDENCE AND THE OPEN/CLOSED STRING DUALITY [PDF]
In this paper we review the conditions for the validity of the gauge/gravity correspondence in both supersymmetric and nonsupersymmetric string models. We start by reminding what happens in type IIB theory on the orbifolds ℂ2/ℤ2 and ℂ3/(ℤ2 x ℤ2), where ...

On duality walls in string theory [PDF]
Following the RG flow of an N=1 quiver gauge theory and applying Seiberg duality whenever necessary defines a duality cascade, that in simple cases has been understood holographically. It has been argued that in certain cases, the dualities will pile up at a certain energy scale called the duality wall, accompanied by a dramatic rise in the number of ...

A duality in string theory on AdS3
Abstract We consider bosonic string theory on AdS3 supported by Kalb-Ramond flux. It is well known that the α′ exact worldsheet theory is described by the SL(2,R) WZW model. In this note we perform checks of an α′ exact dual description proposed in [arXiv:2104.07233] involving a winding condensate on a free theory background.

The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...

Lectures on Heterotic-Type I Duality [PDF]
We present a review of heterotic-type I string duality. In particular, we discuss the effective field theory of six- and four-dimensional compactifications with N>1 supersymmetries. We then describe various duality tests by comparing gauge couplings, N=2

Sonic booms and diffusion wakes generated by a heavy quark in thermal gauge-string duality. [PDF]
We evaluate the Poynting vector generated by a heavy quark moving through a thermal state of N=4 gauge theory using the gauge-string duality. A significant diffusion wake is observed as well as a Mach cone.
