Quantized string models

Annals of Physics, 1982
We discuss and compare the Lorentz covariant path integral quantization of the three bose string models, namely, the Nambu, Eguchi and Brink-Di Vecchai-Howe-Polyakov (BDHP) ones. Along with a critical review of the subject with some uncertainties and ambiguities clearly stated, various new results are presented.

Torque and Drag Modeling; Soft-string versus Stiff-string Models

SPE/IADC Middle East Drilling Technology Conference and Exhibition, 2016
Abstract The wellbore friction, torque and drag, between drill string and the wellbore wall is one of the most critical issues which limits the drilling industry to go beyond a certain measured depth. For this reason many studies on torque & drag modeling have been performed.

String potential model: Spinless quarks

Physical Review D, 1989
We propose a generalization of the usual potential model of quark bound states in which the confining flux tube is a dynamical object carrying both angular momentum and energy. The QQ-bar-string system with spinless quarks is quantized using an implicit operator technique and the resulting relativistic wave equation is solved.
