Strip formation and process stability in twin roll strip casting

Process stability in the thin strip casting process of steel has been investigated with a laboratory pilot caster. Depending on the steel grade and the process parameters irregular process states could be observed. Clad Strip Casting by a Roll Caster

Abstract : The purpose of the Phase I research project is to demonstrate the feasibility of melting titanium alloys using Duriron's induction slag melting process and casting them into rapidly solidified strip by RIBTEC's melt overflow process.
