Dual Band Topside Waveguide-to-Stripline Transition in Multilayer Substrate
2021 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and USNC-URSI Radio Science Meeting (APS/URSI), 2021A dual-band topside rectangular waveguide to stripline transition in multilayer substrate was developed for K/Ka-band applications. The waveguide sits on the top of the substrate. The proposed transition is realized with a standard PCB manufacturing processing, the metal fabrication process is not necessary for the hollow waveguide, this makes it ...

Excitation of leaky modes on multilayer stripline
The practical issue of excitation of leaky modes on multilayered stripline structures is analyzed. The excitation is studied by calculating the current on the strip conductor due to a source. The GPOF method is used to investigate the physical meaning of the leaky modes.

Excitation of leaky modes on multilayer stripline structures
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1998A quasi-analytical method for calculating the excitation of leaky modes on multilayer stripline structures by a finite source is presented in this paper. Simple sources such as an infinitesimal dipole near the conducting strip or a delta-gap feed on the conducting strip of the transmission line are considered.

Effects of Microstructural Defects in Multilayer LTCC Stripline
IEEE Transactions on Advanced Packaging, 2006This paper proposes novel stripline models including embedded pores and sharpened conductor edges, which are commonly introduced during the multilayer low-temperature cofired-ceramic (LTCC) process. This model enables designers to obtain conductivity and tan/spl delta/ of the stripline that are difficult to obtain using the experimental methods from ...

A Suspended Stripline to Microstrip Transition using Multilayer Techniques
22nd European Microwave Conference, 1992, 1992A suspended stripline to microstrip transition using multilayer techniques is investigated theoretically and experimentally. With this transition the advantages of both transmission line types can be combined in one integrated circuit. Coupling of the lines is obtained by overlapping of the suspended stripline and the microstrip line placed on ...

Multilayer Multi-Section Broadband LTCC Stripline Directional Couplers
IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium, 2007Multi-section multi-layer LTCC stripline couplers are designed. The use of reentrant cross section helps achieve precise design values of coupling otherwise restricted by limitations posed by the LTCC technology. Interconnection of different sections of the coupler by a stepped stripline transition between different layers of the structure is shown to ...

Suspended Stripline Filters Integrated with Standard Multilayer Printed Circuit Boards
2009 German Microwave Conference, 2009Suspended stripline (SSL) is a good transmission line medium for the realization of filters. One drawback, however, are problems in integrating such filters into extended circuits. To overcome this problem, different SSL filters were designed and tested, realized on a multilayer board consisting of a standard printed circuit board (FR4) and a microwave

Ultrawide band CBCPW to stripline vertical transition in multilayer LCP substrates
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2015This article presents an improved design of conductor-backed coplanar waveguide (CBCPW)-to-stripline (SL) vertical transition in multilayer liquid crystal polymer substrates. The CBCPW and SL is designed on the top and second conductor layers, respectively, and electrically connected with each other through micro-vias.

A shielded microstrip-to-stripline vertical transition for multilayer printed circuit board
2012 International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology (ICMMT), 2012This paper reports on a shielded vertical transition in multilayer PCBs. The design and analysis of microstrip-tostripline transition are presented, and back-to-back arrangements are considered. These interconnections are simulated and optimized by three-dimensional electromagnetic simulations, presents great performances from dc up to 40 GHz.

In this paper, we present a multisection directional coupler providing a tight coupling of 10 dB with an equal ripple of 0.8 dB across the frequency range of 360 MHz to 5.8 GHz, which corresponds to a relative bandwidth of 177 %. To maximize coupling and reduce dispersion effects, the coupler uses broadside coupled striplines in a multilayer setup. The
