A Functionally Conserved Enhancer is Critical for PGC1A Expression and Thermogenesis in Brown Fat
An evolutionarily conserved enhancer controls PGC1A expression and thermogenic activation in brown adipose tissue. Integrative multi‐omics analyses identify two BAT‐specific enhancers, with PGC1A‐En1 functioning as the dominant regulatory element that maintains thermogenic capacity across species.

A BioLiving Periosteum Evokes Centripetal Regeneration in Challenging Bone Defects
Large bone defects often suffer from insufficient central healing. This study engineers a BioLiving periosteum that mimics the native structure. It sequentially delivers remote chemical cues and contact physical cues in a signaling‐relay manner, effectively recruiting and guiding endogenous cells toward the defect center.

In fibrotic distal lung regions, CD66c+ basal cells emerge as a pathological state. Using human distal lung organoids, this study identifies CD66c+ basal cells as a pro‐fibrotic state arising through transdifferentiation from secretory, AT2, and basal cells.

Grancalcin (GCA), a myeloid‐derived protein, is enriched in gingival tissues of periodontitis patients and mouse models. Through interactions with CD44 and activation of MYH9, GCA promotes NF‐κB signaling and exacerbates periodontal inflammation and bone loss.

Solution Studies of Recombinant Human Stromal-Cell-Derived Factor-1
Protein Expression and Purification, 2001Stromal-cell-derived factor-1 (SDF-1alpha) is an 8-kDa chemokine that is constitutively expressed in bone-marrow-derived stromal cells and has been identified as a ligand for the CXCR4 receptor. We produced the chemokine recombinantly as methionine-SDF-1alpha in Escherichia coli without the leader peptide sequence.

Cloning and characterization of chicken stromal cell derived factor-1
Developmental & Comparative Immunology, 2005Stromal cell derived factor-1, SDF-1, belongs to the CXC family of chemokines and has been identified in mammals, amphibians, and fish. This chemokine has a diverse array of functions in organogenesis, hematopoeisis, B cell development and recruitment of immune system cells.

Stromal cell-derived factor-1 (SDF-1): homing factor for engineered regenerative medicine
Expert Opinion on Biological Therapy, 2011Stromal cell-derived factor-1α (SDF-1) is a chemokine that plays a major role in cell trafficking and homing of CD34(+) stem cells. Studies employing SDF-1/CXCR4 have demonstrated its therapeutic potential in tissue engineering. During injury, cells from the injured organ highly express SDF-1, which causes an elevation of localized SDF-1 levels.
